Just wanted to say - unless a miracle occurs with my luggage (way heavy so far) and my time at home (shrinking rapidly), I won't be able to bring my Outtakes tapes. I refuse to take the risk of taking them through in my checked in luggage if I haven't copied them at home first (in case X rays fry them or they get broken or lost) and I simply haven't had time to dub them yet. I'll try tomorrow, but I make no promises. Hopefully someone else will have all of what I do anyway...

Edit: Also, I had a thought about boots earlier this week and thought I ought to share it. I figure - we're there for a good few days each, at least, and as far as I recall there was an electronics shop right over the street, so... I figure, we can buy blank CDs if we need them, and we'll have laptops, so if more than one person wants a copy of various boots floating round we can burn em in situ. I should (hopefully) have one bootleg per person coming, but I'll warn you I can't manage cases - too heavy - so I'll be rude and have them on a spindle. so you might want a case or two, or to have a cd carry case with a spare pocket or two. Ta muchly, guys.

[music |...which i am now hearing in Gold Leader's voice]

Firstly:

I: am a complete moron, and did not add one very important line to the "million reasons" list to be voted for. ie: "We really like the Trabbies"
Considering the front of them, I'm pretty sure we should have that one. So if people disagree, please comment in the usual place, otherwise it looks like our format is:

edit as I am halfway through this: I think we need a tiebreaker vote on number 7. because those two are way to similar to use both. So:

"A Million Reasons Cleveland Rocks:

1. We really like the Trabbies.
2. Where else can you see Adam's instrument?
3. Because scaring the normals is a way of life.
4. Crack. Lots of crack.
5. Attention, PopMart shoppers...
6. Because Larry never throws anything out.
7. We haven't been to bed in a week/We're wideawke... we're not sleeping.
8. Because GMTA is not always what you think it is.
9. Because you can never have too much fun with punctuation.
10. Because all the little chicks with the crimson lips say so."

...actually, aside from the number 7 issue, that actually seems pretty balanced, I think. Go, guys. :D *proud of us*

Poll #218090 one last back-of-the-hoodie poll

The deadlock on number seven. Would you rather have:

We're wideawake... we're not sleeping.
7(46.7%)
We haven't been to bed in a week
8(53.3%)
Oh, hell, use both anyway and drop one other.
0(0.0%)

The GMTA line. Would you rather just have

"GMTA" by itself. It's all about the mystery. Plus, it's less crowded.
13(86.7%)
"GMTA doesn't always mean what you think."
2(13.3%)

Should we have an effective footnote about "**It's Irish for ten" or should we leave it as a subtle injoke type thing?

Yes, a footnote is grand.
12(80.0%)
No, I'd rather not have the footnote.
3(20.0%)

There, I think that's it. Thanks for your patience, guys.

And Cheryl, the trabbie looks cool, but I'll hold off on doing anything more until you've had a shot at the trabbie-in-situ from Court's picture.

I'll compile a big post tomorrow, but just to give you something to think about in meantime.

Those driving (or at least Kate) have agreed to bring up some groceries for people flying in. They would be paid either via paypal before Cleveland, or cash/cheque once everyone arrives. So. You may want to start thinking about what you'd need and we'll do a post today or tomorrow with that sort of information.

Sound good?

Rooming Lists, a visual aide:

All hail the glory that is Excel.

Each room is a colour, and the little slashes (heh) represent the nights everyone is staying.

If you're still on the undecided end, don't worry, we have room for you. This is just for people definitely going.

Red: Room 1, suite
Green: Room 2, two queens
Black: Room 3, accessible
Blue: Room 4, two queens

Alternately, you may want to look at this chart:

day to day rooming list.

alright, so i'm getting to cleveland on december 27 and staying till the 31. i was supposed to be sharing a room with rachel but she won't be able to make it. so now i'm in a room by myself. so...uh...if anyone needs a room, i'd really rather not be by myself. the whole point is to meet people and get to know everyone. alright if anyone has any ideas i thought i would just throw that out there. thanks. ps i'm a really good roomie, lol. sandra
